Suzanne Harris is a writer, editor, and writing coach living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. An experienced public relations practitioner, she has been writing professionally for over 20 years. Her writing life has stretched from the highly organized, business-minded, deadline-driven world of public relations to the unstructured, playful, open-ended world of the creative.
Her creative work has been broadcast on radio and published in magazines and e-zines. Her poem She Goes Home to Visit her Father was a winner in CBC Radio's Alberta Anthology poetry competition in 2008.
Suzanne served as president of the Canadian Authors Association Alberta Branch from 2005-2007, chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee on the Canadian Authors Association national board from 2007-2008, and was the coordinator of CanWrite! 2008, a national writing conference. She returned to the hectic world of public relations in 2010 when she signed on in Communications with the Edmonton Arts Council.
